There’s sure to be a lot of well-groomed whiskers on display at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday (KO 2:30pm) as first takes on second in the Aviva Premiership Rugby Network Challenge table.
Led by captain Ricky Reeves the Exiles sit second in the table having raised over £4,000 for this year’s Movember campaign and are looking to finish the month strongly, as they prepare take on last year’s Premiership Rugby Network Challenge winners, Northampton, who again lead the way.
“We’re second in the Premiership Rugby Network Challenge table and that’s a great place to be – Dylan Hartley’s been on his game though. We’ve done really well, however, and have raised loads of awareness, as well as money, and helped to spread the word about men’s health issues. So we’re happy with how it’s gone,” said Reeves.
“This year I’ve gone for a Sergeant Major inspired twizzler, angry army moustache. It’s fantastic, but really itchy. I dyed it last night and it’s jet back and horrible. Some of the other lads have gone for handlebars or Hulk Hogan, while Matt Dobson’s hillbilly trucker is pretty good.”
You can still play your part in helping to raise awareness of men’s health issues by joining London Welsh’s Movember Team.
Every November, the Movember charity campaign encourages the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world to help raise awareness of men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health issues.
To add an extra incentive, London Welsh will be staging a ‘Mo-off’ at half-time during Sunday’s clash with Northampton.
London Welsh will invite all 17 rugby across Oxfordshire, as well as its own amateur sections, to nominate their most impressive Mo from within their ranks to represent their club in the ‘Mo-off’!
The most impressive Mo will win a pair of half season tickets as well as a London Welsh coaching session for their Club!
