Bridgend Blue Bulls News and Other South Wales Rugby League Clubs
Great news for Bridgend Blue Bulls..With Rugby League’s Super League now back up and running, exciting all fans of the sport. There too has been some equally exciting news coming from South Wales with Bridgend Blue Bulls.
The Blue Bulls have been working tirelessly to partner with a Super League club to improve the game in Bridgend and have announced that St Helens have agreed to work with the South Wales club. They will be working through the Saints Community Development Foundation.
Its an exciting time for the Blue Bulls as this partnership will increase exposure and provide huge opportunities for player development.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for all involved with the Blue Bulls. There will be a continuous dedication to develop rugby league in Bridgend County Borough,” said general manager Steve Smith.
Open age and under-17s training begin on Wednesday, March 14, at 7pm at Pyle RFC – they are are also looking at pre-season friendlies for late April and early May.
The under 13s and under-15s have started with high numbers already, however, there are spaces available on Monday nights.
The club are looking for businesses to sponsor various teams, to help them achieve their ambitions and remain a financially-stable club.

With the new season approaching very near the Bulls have opportunities for a number of positions to strengthen the club.
Junior coaches, team managers and first aiders. Also, fundraising committees will be needed to progress.

*Commercial Manager to build businesses relationships in the community.
*Club welfare officer to manage duty of care to children and adults involved in the club.
*Media Manager to update website and social media. Write match reports and raise the profile of the club online.
*Team Manager or assistant to help team running.
*Game day volunteers to prepare the on and off field requirements.

2017 will see Cardiff ARLFC playing their home games at the historic home of Glamorgan Wanderers.
It was evident that after several discussions both parties had the same vision. All year round access to rugby regardless of code, open to all ages to enjoy.
Cardiff’s dream of becoming a leading player in community sport has taken a big step to realization with this partnership.

Former Rhondda Outlaws player Nye Walker (Heritage number 4) has been selected to represent Wales (U23) at this years Rugby League 9’s tournament at the Commonwealth Championship in Australia. It is testament to the hard work Nye has been putting in and fantastic news for the Outlaws as it shows our player development is bearing fruit.
We would like to wish Nye the best of luck for the tournament and are confident he’ll help bring some silverware back to Wales.
